Are You Using Energy and Intention to Set Your Goals?
You should have an idea of the basics of energy to understand the power and therefore the necessity of conscious intention to enhance your life. You cannot use one effectively without the other. This is a big picture overview, details and special aspects are covered in other devaliving-training articles.NOTE: EVERYTHING is ENERGY, made of energy, created from the same building blocks (atoms, sub-particle, quarks, etc.). What is It? There are different schools of theory, in this field called quantum physics, but the fact is - EVERYTHING IS ENERGYYou are going to want to come back to this statement again and again.You, as a complex being, take it in, release it, move it, store it, deplete it. When you are aware, you can sense or feel these changes. - Does the "energy" of the bustling city pump you up or fatigue you?
- Out in nature, are you revived, feel expanded or do you feel isolated and small?
- Do some people drain you (affectionately known as vibe suckers)?
- Do others seem to restore you?
All of this is energy, being moved and shifted for better or worse. As a human being, you release it through thoughts, sounds and actions. This goes out into the universe - touches and affects others and returns to you with additional "like minded" energy attached to it (think magnets). So you see, that which you create and send to others ultimately effects you and your world. The more people who send out similar energy, the greater the impact on the world.
YOUR THOUGHTS ARE ENERGY.
In simple terms, what you are thinking really can affect your inner and outer worlds. Think of the EEG (electroencephalograph) that is used in a hospital. It measures brain waves. If they are there, you are considered alive and "thinking", what the EEG is reading is electrical activity AKA energy=
 - thoughts are energy
- energy is physical substance
- substance is created by energy
- your thoughts can create substance
Sit with that for a moment - Now, it takes a large amount of energy to create (through volume or repetition) - imagine if every thought created an actual physical reaction?! Most of our authority figures and relationships would be in trouble! :)
There are many nuances to this law of physics - What you want to consider is your brain's connection to
the law of attraction,
mind body connection,
and right now, intention - Which is a building block for all energetic work. "Energetic Work"? This is a term used by people who consciously work with (move, shift, release) energy. All use intention to facilitate this movement.
So, intention defined = intending an aim that guides action, the state of mind with which an act is committed.
How do you set your goals? What is your intention? Why are you doing what you are doing? This one question can be the difference between having success, love, purpose, community . . . or not. Not surprisingly, most people don't consciously consider intention. Intention focuses on beginning action not end results. The vibration you send out with an action can have more impact that the actual action - think "I had the best of intentions". With intentions and energy there are two main vibrations (energies, intentions, reason for all thought and action). LOVE OR FEAR - everything else falls into sub-categories of one or the other. These states hold two very different vibrations. Love has a much higher, lighter, frequency. Fear is a much lower, darker, heavier frequency. Therefore, where you hold your intention equals the kind of vibration you are sending and attracting to your Self. WHY DO THIS? Benefits of conscious intention include: the higher the vibration the intention, the higher and lighter frequency of energy that will be in your life. This feels like more joy, love, prosperity. The happier your life will feel. Remember the math, send high vibrations = receive high vibrations. Can you put your "goals" in a statement guided by love? Pro vs. Anti, Support vs. Restrictive, Hope vs. Doubt, Positive vs. Negative?
Here is an example of how this can work: Most rich people (even those who weren't born rich) say they never worried about money. No fear = no pull towards poverty and "lack of" issues. Or this: Mother Theresa said in an interview once she would never go to an anti-war rally! She knew that fighting with "anti" energy has the same vibration as the same thing she was trying to prevent or heal. If you are angry, hateful, "against" something you are reflecting the same vibration of shadow, dark, energy that the opposite side is using. Changing the intention to pro, supportive, higher vibrations creates and attracts the energy to lighten and heal the situation. By the way, she would go to a pro-peace rally. :) Here is an easier example: Do you wear a seat belt to keep from being killed/injured (fear based) or to stay alive (love based)? Seems like a game of words - MAKE NO MISTAKE - the intention carries a powerful energetic pull towards what you are thinking, not necessarily what you want. Again, there are many nuances to this. So, is it just changing the wording? NO, not if your thinking hasn't changed - e.g.: "I knew that I wouldn't win" - well, if you knew, then that is the overriding thought. Self fulfilling prophecy - you pulled or attracted the "not winning". To be in conscious intention there needs to be either a belief change at your core OR create a new way of thinking if this is say, a cultural habit. Do you really believe you are not deserving, in danger, not supported, in a cold, angry world? Then a belief change would be your next step - see
spirituality
and
shadow self.
However, if you have an overall more positive outlook, you could benefit from shifting your cultural programming. Many cultures/societies confuse humble with negativity, pessimism with "reality" - like expect the worst and then be pleasantly surprised or low self esteem comments like "I got lucky" (you didn't deserve it) or attitudes, its not cool to do well or be too happy. Changing your mindset can help you see what you truly want and deserve.
Its not "I believe it when I see it" - Its "I believe it and therefore I see it!"
