Use the Law of Attraction to Get What You Really Want!
Positive affirmations, positive thinking, positive attitude = that is all you need to get what you want? Isn't that the Law of Attraction You really want something - so if you repeat to yourself over and over that you want it- it will come to you! Yes? Unfortunately, no, not quite . . . The Law of Attraction is a universal law based on energetics that are much older than the movie "The Secret (Extended Edition) ". If you watched it, you know that it was a great motivator and prompted large numbers of people to create collages and set goals. Some saw results, most didn't - What was the difference? There are a couple pieces missing from the process: A. Knowing what YOU want B. Being in alignment with your want - mind, body, heart, soul C. Your journey
You have to go a little deeper to understand how all this works. A. Knowing what you want to use the Law of Attraction for - in
finding your purpose
there are some practices that help define your purpose, which helps define YOUR goals - not the goals you inherit or get brainwashed into from others.
Do YOU really want it? Or is it a society, externally pressured want?
Environment, people (family, friends, lovers, authority figures) society, media, cultures - all of them constantly bombard you with messages of how you should be, act, do, want, have. You may find that the more you discover your true Self - the less you will desire the same being, doing, wants that others do and you used to!
B. Being in alignment with your "want" - What does this mean? What is the "why" behind your want?How does this want serve your highest good or purpose? For example: to learn, experience joy or love, well-being, good health, etc. Are you in integrity by choosing this want? And, of course,
Do you believe you deserve this? Really?
This tends to be the hidden piece, to want something but not truly believe that you can get it or deserve it. There is your wrench in the works (or your bug in the program). What you want and what you think come from two different places and the Law of Attraction is based on what you THINK . . . not what you want. This is what you pull towards you. Remember-
like energy?
So there may need to be a little processing around what you think, if your thinking is not aligned with your true wants and highest Self. And, sometimes, your thinking (I am, I want, Thats true, Thats not true) takes a little time to catch up with your learning. . . its not positive thinking if you don't believe its true . . more on that in a moment, but first,
C. Does it resonate with you? Is this a piece of your journey? There is an unknown factor involved here. Your inner self/guide may know a little more than you and can make wiser choices. So, while you go for what you know, and deserve and what you sense is best -(By the way, this is not always a logical choice - where is the fun in that?) - add the qualifier:"This or something better for my highest good".
Allow the universe to bring you more than you can conceive of yourself!

Back to the learning - Positive affirmations (like positive thinking) can help you retrain your brain. There are some devaliving-training practices in the links below that can be very effective with using the Law of Attraction and your transformation. Here are a few more practices to keep you on the (your)right path.PRACTICE 1: What beliefs or thinking do you want to change? Write them down - then write down why they are not true! Now, write down what you do want to think - using only positive statements occurring in present time (as if it were true now): Example: - I am a positive, optimistic person.
- I deserve a loving supportive relationship.
- I am a loving, Divine being and show my love and support for others in a positive way.
- I am the owner of the home my family lives in.
NOTE: "I AM" are the two most powerful words you can use - very high vibration! DO NOT use "want" which means lack of; or "will" which puts receiving into the future, which never gets here!
PRACTICE 2: Take your statements and make it a practice to read them aloud and, if you like, rewrite your statement daily or even more often. This reinforces the energy of your thinking. PRACTICE 3: To create even more energy going out to the universe to attract what you want - Do More! - That collage talked about in the movie is a great idea!
- Paint or draw pictures - you don't have to be an artist.
- Play music, sing a song that you connect to this state of mind (write your own song)!
- Write a story about you or "someone" who thinks this way and gets what they want.
- Take pictures
- Anything that keeps the thoughts and energy moving!
TIPS: You can work on more than one desire at a time - but state each one separately, no combining statements!
